戻橋　Modoribashi

Minamoto no Raiko had heard that in the area of Kyoto’s Ichijo Modoribashi, a monster had been appearing night after night to bring calamity upon the townsfolk. He ordered one of the Shitenno, Watanabe Tsuna, to rid the area of the monster.

The demon, Ibarakidoji from Mt Oe (underling to Shutendoji), had transformed into a travelling old lady and was going to catch and devour an unsuspecting umbrella-seller.

Tsuna, who was rushing there, started to fight Ibarakidoji but was defeated by its black sorcery.

When Tsuna’s life was in danger, Kintoki, having received a divine message from Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, came to help him and launched a fierce attack, and Tsuna landed a blow that chopped off Ibarakidoji’s arm.

Seeing that it was no match for him, Ibarakidoji used Kyokuhiten dark magic to flee back to Mt. Oe.  

Key point:The Ibarakidoji who was transformed into an old woman returned to the demon.

Tuna succeeded to beat Ibaragidoji by chopping off his left arm.
