神降し　Kamioroshi

Kamioroshi is the ceremony dance to invite God to kagura hall (the stage) before we dedicate Kagura.

This ceremony dance expresses our sincere gratitude to God after successful harvesting in Autumn. At the present time, this dance also expresses our gratitude to people who inherited Kagura as traditional performing arts and people who has supported the arts.

This dance consists of all kinds of dance we perform basic dance. The name of this dance varies depending on the region and group. People call it “Kamioroshi” , “Shioharai” ,or ”Kamimukae”
