程原入道　Hodohara-nyudo

As a result of the battle of Dannoura (in shimonoseki). Taira family was destroyed by Minamoto family. Noto no kami Taira no Noritune, brave warrior of Taira family, also threw himself in the sea of Dannoura at the end of this battle.

Norimoto offered to the village people to hide themselves in the village in exchange for the promise to exterminate Orochi. Norimoto exquisitely exterminated the Orochi. Peace was back in the village.

However, the rumor that the survivors of Taira family were hidden, spread to the public. Sasaki Kagesada who was the samurai of Kamakura Shogunate, received a request to hunt the survivors. Then he entered Hodohara.

Although Kanesada found where Yunagozen was located, Yunagozen succeeded to escape from Kanesada by protection of Norimoto.

Yunagozen worried that Norimoto would become a target for Minamoto family. She recommended him to become a priest. Norimoto become a priest, and renamed "Hodoharanyudo"

This is the story that Hodoharanyudo built a temple later and prayed for the souls of Taira clan.
